LIVE BLOG?! Sure, why not?!

So I'm not working today Praise his name! and I decided, "What better way to spend an afternoon?" Load up the most recently qued NetFlix delivery and tell peoples what you think of it!

What's on the chopping block?! PUN! 2008's Dorothy Mills

As read by the dramatic Woman Lifetime Voice

Going into the movie I have high expectations. Then again trailers can make just about ANYTHING look interesting. Sorry David Goyer, I'm gonna have to send this one back to the chef.

I enjoy a good scare. I think many of lifes questions and curiosities can be answered by watching psychological cinema. Something scary but meaningful. Something that can take you to a place of great fear but also great respect for life and love and happiness. You Appreciate.

I've heard/read nothing but positive about Dorothy Mills. The NetFlix Member Reviews have also been pretty positive. But I haven't read many since I don't want some dick slipping a spoiler in a review.

I'm already digging the trailers. Eden Lake and Suburban Mayhem look like films I would enjoy.

Alright...here we go!

So the sermon was...interesting. Discussing the idea that God is everywhere. That no matter where you are there He is. Except, this wasn't so much a "You shall look and find me there." but a "I see EVERYTHING!" Scary Jesus. From there it leads to a couple leaving a church, presumably heading towards the plot. Speaking of plots...maybe it'd be best if I didn't ruin this one by posting succession of spoilers on the Blog...be back in a shortly. In the meantime...

Get into her...

Wow...okay. So, where to begin? I enjoyed the film. It DID take you around the bend a few times. As someone that prides themselves on finding the big *Gasp* in a film. This one really got me. I did see the idea that Dorothy wasn't just a young girl with D.I.D.. It was a bit of a shock to find out how far the rabbit hole goes with regards to the towns secret. I thought perhaps the pious and prostrating Priest had a filthy hand in the matter (Which yes, in part it did) but he did keep his fingers out of the cookie jar so to speak.

I'll start with the positive aspects of the film. The flow was beautiful. One scene in particular with Jane Van Dopp the psychiatrist, played by dutch actress, Carice van Houten. She is speaking to the family of the child that Dorothy was watching and allegedly assaulted. One moment they were sitting having a conversation in the living room. The camera pans out from the psychiatrist and in the foreground are the parents arriving home to the scene being discussed. The events they are TELLING unfolding right in front of us, the audience.

I also enjoyed the small visual suggestions and imagery that showed us the director and cinematographer were invested in the film. There is a scene where Jane is reading a newspaper clipping regarding the young girl in question...and in the background is a photo of, "The Girl with the Pearl Earring". The visual similarities between the woman in this photo and Dorothy in my opinion are there. Now if we could draw some comparison between the alleged women that this painting depicts and the character, Dorothy, then we'd be in business...but that requires further reading...and no.

There are parts that jump outside of chronology, even from the beginning of the film we feel we're skipping between segments. Some longer than others are but STILL just puzzle pieces, part of a larger picture; one you have to take a step back and view. This can be difficult when a movie draws you in, much like this did for me. Then again I guess that's most of the fun. Feeling lost but not CONFUSED.

I enjoyed what Dorothy was. She was a young girl that lived within a small community. One that was supposed to be close nit and loving, good God fearing folk but she feels dreadfully alone. The actress, Jenn Murray, that protrays Dorothy goes as far as to say, "I carried her around...for several months. It was quite depressing"

They

I did think there were a few funny/um really moments. Hmm...number one

I wish I had stills...

asks about how long it would take for the repairs on her car to be completed. Um, her car looked like it had been driven off of a bridge, dumped in a lake and dragged for about 3 miles before being tugged up a hill and pulled 10 miles to the closest gas station...which just so happens to be the back of someone's house. Oh that's right...

Number Two

Another part is where Jane is having a conversation with Colin Garrivan played by, David Wilmot. The man who on the surface provides a level of stability and guardianship for Jane. He knows the ways of the town and tries to warn her that her snooping is causing issues with the locals. They are having a rather heated discussion about teenagers she swears she saw outside her bedroom window last night. The same teenagers, she says, that caused her car accident when she first arrived at the island.

Jane: Don't...Don't you believe me? I'm not Crazy.

Colin: Of course I believe you *Hands her a drink*...here have a drink.

Yes, people usually make sound decisions after a night of booze. Just ask THIS WOMAN

I think that this is meant to be much more than a horror/slasher film. I would classify this as a psychological thriller. This is a story of seclusion and pressure. "The weight of the religious authority in this film is very tangible" says one actor and I couldn't agree more. They obey. Pastor Ross who also serves as the islands doctor seems to appear to be one of the only figures of authority. This is a man so set in his beliefs and ways. That God is watching always. He himself must somehow question his views when the truth beneath the surface is revealed. This community trembles in the face of God and his judgment and some do so for VERY good reason.

All in all it was a pretty amazing ride. Humor, horror, suspense, and questioning of faith in God and Man.

Um...What?

So the Palm Pre is the newest of the new with regards to Smart Phones. There have been rave reviews in from CNet As well as from every day consumers all over the world and even PreCentral.Net This is all well and good. I've heard wonderful things from my friends as well...but WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THESE COMMERCIALS?!

I saw this and I was like, "Is this going to be an advertisement for some sort of religion?

I mean...do we really need more introspective and inventive ways to sell products. I've noticed that even though we're in a recession the excessive lifestyles that we as Americans live have HARDLY suffered. Their marketing team should know this. Perhaps they DO know this.

I have a question. Do you ever have one of those days where you watch a really weird commercial and it completely ruins your opinion of the product?

Arthur Petrelli stole my interest in , "Heroes"

What...the...Fuck?! I will try my best to process this as much as possible but I have difficulty writing recaps. I seem to be more conversational in my critiques than ruthless in my reviews. Okay, so this episode was marginally interesting. Can I start with Hiro and Claire being in the future past? Hiro unable to understand English and Claire unable to hide that weave on her scalp are watching over the Nakamura family as baby Claire-bear is placed in the hands of Noah...mmm, I totally want to ride Noahs Ark. Anywhore, after Noah leaves to take the future queen of "Why Me" home to his wife Small Wonder and Hiro watch over Mr. and Mrs. Nakamura as they discuss, "The Catalyst" and giving it to Claire. Mama says she wants to keep it in the family, i.e. Hiro and Papa says 10 year old Hiro is too irresponsible. All he cares about is comic books and having fun and loving life which apparently no 10 year old should be preoccupied with. They somehow come the the conclusion that Hiro must inherit the powers, how they both come to the same conclusion while neither one of them speaks the same language I will never know, there by making Claire's life less complicated and Hiro the well...Hero. Claire decides to follower Noah and Hiro is accosted by his father who is under the impression that he is their new cook. He wants Hiro to make Mama Nakamura tamago (yes Kip..I know what tamago is) for breakfast. Being the selfish 10 year old he is he just makes his mother waffles and orange juice...Mmm...I haven't had waffles in a WHILE. He feeds her and they have a heart to heart once she finds out she's staring to the face of the grown son she'll never get the chance to see because she's dying. She gives him the catalyst, blah blah blah, dies, blah blah Hiro is sad-faced.

We are also reacquainted with the brooding Sylar which always made my bottle pop. The sensitive and torn Book Store stooge just didn't do it for me and neither did the road to redemption Sylar 2.0. He had to unfortunately kill Elle which was a long time coming. Her character development was garbage. It's almost as if Kristin Bell did a Hari-Kari just so she wouldn't have to continue to play the roll of a bipolar lightening rod. Instead her character was mutilated and the set ablaze viking style by her lover/nemesis/protege. Sylar decides that Noah's words haunted him...are Papa and Mama Petrelli simply using him as an incredibly hot pawn in their quest for dominance or is he really part of the family? Armed with Elle's cellphone, which somehow has an entire fucking Zagat guide of mutants people with special abilities Sylar decides to pay a visit to a lonely office drone to steal her powers. Now...I didn't so much have a problem with the scene that later develops as much as I had a problem with her power. You mean to tell me that this guy who has an entire arsenal of abilities covets a bitch who can sniff out a goddamn lie?! Are you serious?! Not just that but did this hoe become special the day before yesterday? I see a menacing man in my office out of no where saying, "I have a delivery for you." and my spider senses start tingling, the LAST thing I'm going to do is alert him to the fact that I smell his bullshit. Double U Tee EFF-AH!?! . She got what she deserved. She's a step up on the evolutionary ladder and she still doesn't have to common sense that a PSA on stranger danger would alert you to then perhaps she's played her part in the world. Darwin would be PISSED!Also, where WERE Sylar and Elle dropped off? The nexis of the entire world? He can travel to this womans office to kill her and then travel to Pinehurst in a matter of hours and still have time to change, UGH! I do love the scene when her co-workers popped in with a cake and she's just been butchers by her desk. Everyones expression is priceless and I got all jazzed when Sylar said, "Oh...cake" and closed the door. Something about an impending massacre always makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

On to more ranting. Next up? Daphne...oh dear dear Daphne. When this speedster slut showed up at the fucking messenger depot with Ando and Parkman in tow I had to press pause...did I really just see that happen? Did she ACTUALLY bring them with her? How is this possible? Was she carrying them on her tiny sparrow like shoulders or did she drag them across the city? Too many variables and not enough thinking by the writers in my opinion. Now why are all three of them at this location? They need to find the post-humorous work of the coked out clairvoyant to see what has become of Hiro.

Okay, sidebar. Why the hell did the nerds of the round table send these three out to search for these sketches like it was the fucking holy grail? I hope our Heroes don't trust those sketches in their hands or else they'll be returned covered in fan boy jizz.

The Heroes encounter the dispatcher who says, "I dunno nothing bout no stinkin' skeeetches" and then Parkman does his Parkinsons twitch and sees that he's lying. When the guy goes to get the sketches he decides to take a stroll instead. He high tails it on a bike and Daphne decides to take chase. Instead of just snatching it off of him she stands all triumphant in his way so that he must swerve from hitting her (first mistake, if you EVER have the opportunity to hit Daphne. Do it...ALWAYS...EVER!) Then she turns and gives us the fucking three quarter profile of triumphant cockiness and all I can think is.

"SMUG SLUT!"

The trio read over the sketches and find out it's entitled, "Hiro: lost in time" or some shit and all I can think is, "How? How is that possible? The only way he'd be able to do that is if Arthur Petrelli somehow finds them in the past at the exact time it was necessary for him to steal the catalyst from Hiro's ailing mommy but...he can't travel back in time. I mean if he could, wouldn't he have just bypassed all that searching and gone back in time and stolen it from her in the first place?" Ooh, Justin. You're so silly. This script isn't based upon any logic/continuity/or integrity. Jump back to the blah after heroes mommy takes a dirt nap(figuratively) he meets Claire outside on some balcony to discuss the catalyst. Out of NO WHERE the Papa Petrelli arrives and knocks Claire to the ground...NOT off the roof. He then takes ALL of Hiros powers and knocks him OFF the roof and sends Claire, "Back to the Future". Then we pan to Hiro holding on to some fucking flag pole for dear life.

All this time the uninteresting one has been traveling to NY, Hatian in tow, to assassinate his father. The Hatian tries to talk him out of it because he thinks Blander Petrelli is too fragile to commit matricide. They then infiltrated the Primatech Pinehurst and managed to get past their elite security team which consisted of like...a guy and a half or something, all the way up to the penthouse suite where the Petrelli patriarch was waiting patiently to be murdered? After some uninteresting dialogue and Arthur's show of RAW POWER! Sylar comes in to save the day, see also; Kill Arthur Petrelli. After his body orbed like a freaking white lighter off of Charmed I had had too much, my DVR knew what was best for me and decided the rest wasn't as important to see.

Looks like Christmas came early...and ALL over her face!

Aubrey O'Day has gone to new heights of whore-dom. She decided to prove to Puffy and the rest of Danity Lame that she isn't a hoe bag by posing for Playboy. Apparently all this will be released sometime within the next month. Hide your boyfriends because she will reach through the pages of this magazine and trap their cocks with her coochie cobwebs. I'm just kidding, Aubrey's cooze hasn't had a day of in YEARS. If it bears any cobwebs it's only for Halloween decorations. I used to be so Pro this hoe. I HONESTLY thought that Diddy was pimping her ass out on the sly and turning her into a hoe stroll superstar but alas...this is ALL self induced. I hope honestly that she can find her way out of this bimbo black hole and actually do something with herself...Do SomeTHING...NOT SomeONE.

Ewwwww-AH!

Um...Boo!

Since Beyonce has married Jay Z and Solange has gone just about as far as her sister coattails will allow Tina Knowles needs a new project. With Dereon Girls "Mother May I" has taken on the mission of getting young girls everywhere ready for that Hoe Stroll. Go from playground to penthouse in under 10 years! These girls have got sass and plenty of class! I'm sorry, but the combination of makeup, feather boas, and pimp hats don't even belong on the trash that performed at Chaos; why they hell would you put them on a child?! You know what? Just go the extra mile and come out with a Dereon Girls lingerie line. Better yet, put these lil vixens on a pole and let them earn money the old fashioned way. Climb that corporate ladder GIRLFRIEND!

Water on the Knee? OPERATION! My Beautiful Mommy? OPERATION!

Can't they have a panel where the mother is rubbing Crisco and cocoa butter on her stretch marks and C-section scar, staring into the mirror at her daughter cowering behind her calves as she whispers, "Look what your burden of a birth did to me...LOOOOOK!" I think the kids would understand then why mommy needed a change. It would be like they were never born! "Mommy wants to erase all physical signs of your existence, I wear these marks, RED AS A SCARLET LETTER to remind me what a bottle of Bartlett & James, a quickie in the back of a Saab and a busted condom can do to a body!"

NOooooooooo-se!

Noooooooooo-se!

I can't believe it. Why would they ruin yet another one of my fondest childhood memories?! I guess they picked the right troll for the part. At least they got the nose right, this slut got a chop shop schnoz job and she still came out looking like Angelica Houston in "Witches" or that red headed beaver bumper from Fraggle Rock. With all these remakes going on I'm thoroughly concerned about the "integrity" of the Hollywood hit machine. A Nightmare on Elm Street remake/prequel, Prom Night, and TV Favorites (of people that aren't me) like Beverly Hills 90210 and Charlies Angels aren't even safe. I swear to the all mighty Gods of Glamor that if they recast and produce another Melrose Place I'm bombing studios and pissing on Aaron Spellings grave. I mean if they are going to do it figuratively they might as well go the extra mile and get it done right! I can't Imagine anyone playing Amanda Woodward Like Heather Locklear. Evil, Manipulative, Constant wardrobe changer.

P to the S. The image is so large because I feel you need to recognize the face of evil when it's staring into your soul.

Electrical Current...Hallowed Be Thy Name.

"Lift my emotions and banish all my shame..."

Sometimes I find it helps for me to type with my eyes closed. It's difficult for me to actually put into words the way something makes me FEEL. Though this hasn't always been the case; I have had to evolve and adapt so that my ramblings writings mirror the muck and mire in my mind as an accurate representation.

Deja Vu...It think I dreamt it, a long time ago. This is always a strange phenomenon for me because it leads me to wonder what Deja Vu means, What does it mean in this situation? how am I supposed dissect this? Am I supposed to dissect this? Why did I feel so...connected? I've often thought that Deja Vu is our "Guides" "Spirits" "Higher Power" letting you know you are where you are meant to be. Almost like a road sign say, "Proceed, you are on the right path."

I had one of the most intense feelings of Deja Vu today. I was reading something a friend had written, I thought, "What a dork, lol." and I imagined how they would respond if I typed that. Which then led to this strange premonition of a succession of events that lead me to this thought...that this meant something more than what the surface reflected. As if staring into a mirrored pond and suddenly realizing it's an ocean of thought, do I jump inside and explore the coral reefs and seafare? Or do I just trace my fingers along the edge and watch the ripples expand into a thousand tiny tidal waves?

If you didn't see this coming you NEED some new peepers.

Just call me Ms. Cleo because I saw this shit coming from a MILE away.During taping of an episode of the Tyra Banks Show Tyra announces that she plans to make Isis Tsunami's dream of becoming a REAL WOMAN come true by presenting her with a free vaginoplasty. "This is not happening." Isis was heard saying, "I feel like I'm about to wake up." well bitch maybe you should. Wake the FUCK UP! You were USED! They had you on that show as a plot point and a "success" story. Don't you know there is no such thing as a free lunch?! Tyra is going to have you on call night and day as her surrogate snuu snuu. When one of her dates decides he wants a lil something something and she has to give it up all she has to do is dial a number and you'll be placed in her dark bedroom, ass naked and unconscious for this man to use.

Tyra is quickly becoming the next Oprah in waiting. I fear the day when I type her name on Mozilla Firefox and it's not underlined as a misspelling. I always judge that as a sign of importance. It's our job to keep her humble...by rubbing her face in her failure.

Wanda Sykes....Gay?

So apparently Wanda Sykes is a les. and for some reason people we astonished...Really?

Not to say that you can't be FOR Gay Marriage and be straight because that would just be silly. I'm just saying...she's wearing a freaking blazer...a freaking snake skin blazer. The prosecution rests.

I would personally have been more pleased to see Queen Latifah come out and admit that she likes to wet her face with peach cobbler.

As evidenced in her early film/television career the queen could only stretch her acting muscles as far as her talent would allow. In her OWN TV Show, "Living Single" she was eclipsed by a hilarious cast. In this movie, "Set it off" she fell RIGHT into the roll of a hardcore gat poppin gangsta lesbian bitch. Maybe she took inspiration from some of her fellow rappers...but then we have reality.

Musical Musings.

I think more than anything in my life music has been a catalyst for my emotions. Not that I am unable to emote, more so that music is the lyrical lubricant for me. Whether I'm on the elliptical at the gym and motivating myself with

DJ Tocadiscos - Freak

or laying in bed and sliding towards slumber while listening to

Lentil by Sia

It's all relative as to what I relate to but in the past few weeks I have been obsessed with French music. Particularly a singer named Camille.

Her sound is often times hypnotic. Her second album Le Fil (the thread) resonates most with me. Throughout it there is a sound. A soft hum. almost like a reverberation of sound bouncing between wires and amplifiers like an eternal echo in an empty cavern. Far off and distant but always present and were you unfamiliar you would think this was unintentional...it was not. The tone is B. It is a low level drone that connects one song to the next allowing the audience to appreciate the entire album as a story of sort. This album is also note worthy because of her use of sound; her own in particular. She uses her voice as an instrument to form concussive beats and rasping flares as opposed to a drum or a snare. It is often compared to Bjorks Medulla album in this respect. She also has a live album of songs entitled Live au Trianon which is...heaven. It's almost as if you're sitting in an empty room with this woman on stage, the band hidden behind a curtain but prepared for whatever she is prepared to perform, all for you.

I've also found this melodic masterpiece called, "No Trace Of Grey" by Anja Garbarek a Norwegian singer-songwriter. Originally heard (by me) in the trailer for the movie Angel-A by luc Besson. The song is lovely in it's simplicity. Barely a short story, more a simple thought.

"I decided to stop...I decided to look up."

"What are they doing...in Heaven today?"

How amazing is it that, depending on how the song came about, it is that a simple thought could create something so incredible.

I imagine laying on my back in a vacant field, wet grass licking at my limbs like tiny tongues, outlining me like a snow angel thawed till spring. The blue sky sporadic with clouds and not a soul for miles. Deserted but not lonely. Alone but comforted by the silence of my surroundings with only the sound of my breathe and the beating of my heart to keep me company. The rhythm of solitary solace. Peace. Barely a soft breeze...a whisper of wind passing over my lips and mouth like a lovers fingertips...

...Speaking of.

Poe's Fingertips. A classic favorite from my past. Before I even knew passion for another person I knew that this song spoke to what that would mean for me. The yearning for the touch..

...the foreign touch of an unfamiliar lover. Someone you know only from afar and the tension built after weeks, months, ages of longing looks and flirtation exploding into a slow bliss of erotic exploration. Waiting with baited breathe for them to acknowledge. The conspiratorial glance that confirms their affection. The first kiss is almost like a postage stamp; saying, "I'm ready, take me away." Not too fast. Slow...passionate in their labor. Wanting to let the palm and fingers remember every curve and shape of the body. Finding the hallows often neglected; the nape of the neck, the slope of the jaw, the curve of a hip graced gently by fingertips that reach beneath elastic waist bands and praying the the promise of passion. It's like imagining a persons breathe passing over your navel like a soft kiss turning you into...

"...A Junkie"

...But maybe it's not that simple. Maybe you haven't coveted this persons touch for ages, maybe it's been minutes, less than an hour and you know that your mouth belongs on them whether it be respectively their mouth or places much more lascivious in intent. The almost paralyzing pleasure of sex with a stranger. Something in them screams for your attention. The cool coy smile they toss in your direction. Seducing you without words and breaking down your defenses into a thousand pieces until they lay at your feet. Crushed like glass into powdered fiber ready for you to inhale and turn into energy a well spring of adrenaline. Letting you glow like a soft candle beside a bed cloaked in obsidian dark. The one night stand. Pule pounding pleasure ringing in your temples and blood like a symphony of seduction.

Um...wow. That is not a road I intended to traverse. I think I'll grab my bags and hop off here.

The Ceators Of The "Bratz" Dolls Sould Be KILLED Ashamed

You know....I... *Sigh*. I don't think I can approach this in an unbiased fashion but I will do my best to convey my STRONG feelings and distaste for the, "Bratz" Dolls.

If you have never heard of the "Bratz" Dolls chances are you don't have childen, live beneath a rock within a hole in the ground covered with sand and poop, OR if you have children then maybe you've done a good parenting job and haven't let these toy manufacturing monsters molest your child with their merchandise. "Bratz" dolls are for young girls specifically between the ages of 4 - 8 though they wear the clothes you'd see on a woman between the ages of 20 - 3025. The tag line for "Bratz" is, "The only girls with a passion for fashion". Not only are their attire unacceptable but thier social habits are reprehensible! "How so?" Do you ask? Well, one example would be the "Bratz Babyz Movie" in which the girls Babyz search for the stollen dog of a friend and in order to get money to get him back from the big bad pedophile bully they have to perform in an American Idol-esque competition where their dance routine includs a clip of them Drying themselves off with a towel! in front of a crowd of hooping and hollering boys. The girls clothes and behaviour throughout the entire film are sexually suggestive spouting such motto's as, "Flaunt what you Got" and "Closed legs don't get fed". Okay so I'm kidding about the second one but they might as well have said it since thier actions suggested it anyway.

The people of Mattel should be ashamed! They have gone too far this time! Not only do they provide these dolls with clothes I wouldn't put a stripper in but they also give them the face that only a plastic surgeon could mold love. I am not alone in my distaste for this product. In February, 2007 the APA (American Psychological Association) established their, "Task Force on the Sexualization of Girls" In the report that was published in accompaniment to the Task Force's founding they cited concern over sexuality the Bratz dolls allegedly portray

Bratz dolls come dressed in sexualized clothing such as miniskirts, fishnet stockings, and feather boas. Although these dolls may present no more sexualization of girls or women than is seen in MTV videos, it is worrisome when dolls designed specifically for 4- to 8-year-olds are associated with an objectified adult sexuality

– APA Task Force on the Sexualization of Girls, Report of the APA Task Force on the Sexualization of Girls

"Oh these dolls are no worse than Barbie." This is the argument I've heard the most regarding these unholy whore dolls. I don't think Barbie ever spawned an entire unit of the APA designed solely to increase the monitoring of sexualized girls in media, cinema, and entertainment.Oh well, why don't we take a moment to actually LOOK at the dolls?

- This is Chloe. Chloe likes, Fashion, lipstick, eyeliner, boys, and the latest trends in music. Chloe also apparently likes flaunting her midsection and underdeveloped child body. Why would an infant need to wear a mid drift baby tank top and hot pants? Lets just pretend it's hot outside and not confront the fact that she's perhaps dressed in a provocative manner to objectify her body and promote the idea that young girls should be proud of thier bodies and the eating disorders it took to get them!

- Meet the twins! Tori and whats her face! Though they look the same you can tell these are two VERY different girls! Tori enjoys lip gloss, clothes, and boys while whats her face enjoys eyeliner, lipstick, leather, and water sports! Both girls have that come hither stare and the look but don't touch bodies that drive men WILD. Their clothes say, "I'm old enough to know better but too young to care" while those bottle and chain necklaces speak to the inner bad girl in us all.

- Helooooo Katia! This Russian gymnast princess understands the way the world works. To get a little you have to give a little! So she keeps herself pretty in hope that one day her prince will come, if not all over her face than maybe to take her to America where she can worry about important things like buying their perfect SUV and making babies!

Ah...toys are fun AND educational! Oh and the buck doesn't stop there! Coming this summer is the Bratz live action movie staring girls you've never heard of but being produced, choreographed, and dressed by none other than Paula Abdul!

Who is of course an awesome role model

I don't know what else I could say about this topic. I have approached it emotionally, rationally, and even went as far as to provide actual facts for my disdain. I could go on this topic forever, or at least until my boss finds more work for me to do but I leave you with a letter to the directors of production for Mattel and the Bratz distribution department that I plan to submit to them.

Dear Mattel,

My name is Carlos. I am a 34 year old teacher at Highland Elementary school and Wheaton Maryland. I have recently come across the Bratz Babyz dolls that your company produces. A young girl named Samantha in my class presented this for show and tell. I must admit that I was confused at first. I did not believe that a reputable company such as yours would produce something such as that. After taking off her clothes (The dolls, not my students) I confronted by the Mattel logo and a feeling I didn't know how to describe. This dolls body was proportioned in a way that would suggest she was just a child but the clothing that she wore were both provocative and suggestive in a sexual manner. I struggled with myself for quite sometime, not knowing whether to send this letter to you or if I should simply keep my feelings quiet but I found that through silence nothing is accomplished. So, please let me be the first of what I assume will be many to say...THANK YOU! I never thought in a million years that a toy company like Mattel would create such a HOT DOLL. I have struggled all my life with my feelings towards children but now that I know Mattel not only condones but encourages my beliefs of child love than maybe there IS nothing wrong with me! At first I thought that maybe I was looking at this with hungry eyes and only seeing what I wanted to see but after reading article after article about the sexualization of these dolls bodies and watching the cartoons (which I hope you will make a live action movie out of) I firmly believe that you understand and accept your contribution to the world of toys for what it is, a gateway between the world of a pedophile (I don't really enjoy that term) and that of a child! I even went as far as to discuss your products with my support group. Many men were resigned to believe that their affection for children was wrong; but not anymore! After sharing my findings with my fellow child lovers they have come around to seeing things my way. So like I said, please expect to receive more letters, e-mails, and phone calls from men and women who share the same feelings as I do.

Now that I understand that we DO in fact live in a world that accepts the idea that young men and women should, "Flaunt it if you got it", (a direct quote from the Bratz Babyz film) and shouldn't be fearful of being viewed as sexual creatures because it's perfectly okay! You have also made me more comfortable with myself and my once shameful affliction. I can already see that Samantha has been exposed to the Gospel of the Bratz Babyz dolls, just the other day she wore a tank top and mini skirt to school, which up until now I viewed as bad parenting. Now I know she's just flirting. So please accept my deepest gratitude and thanks for producing such a product and know that though I wouldn't let my kids play with those toys (I have two boys :( ) You definitely have a customer for life!

Warmest Regards,
Carlos

P.s. I have recently found that a Bratz movie is in production! But, don't you think those girls are a little too old?

How not to have a conversation with your Ex Boyfriend

The first lesson in the basics of 'Thermodynamics' is that energy can never be created or destroyed simply TRANSFERRED.

By the time someone reads this Blog it will perhaps have been butchered beyond it's original rendition. I can never simply type something and let it alone; leaving well enough alone is not in my nature. I wish it were paper, that I could simply circle the flaws with big red felt tip pen or cross out the places I'd rather not include and show you what I mean, but I can't. Instead, I will try to type this with as much continuity and frankess as possibly. Hopefully whatever criticism I always feel that I have to convey my message feelings to my audience people friends with as much accuracy veracity to the jumble going on in my head as possible.

As much as I think I have tried to push a person away I realize that doesn't remove any affection I have for them. Out of sight, out of mind...that only works to a certain degree. With such a mutable uncertain and inconsistant thing as love you can never be too sure. You can toss a stone down a well full of maxims pertaining to love and almost every one you hit could conflict with the one before it. Because 'Out of sight, out of mind' can't get him out of your my heart.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Too often I've tried to betray my feelings by adhering to logic; thinking that my screwy emotional problems are masking the right decisions for me causing me to make irrational decisions. Maybe I was wrong, maybe my pride is making me emotionally stunted or inept in some way. Okay, I have to back track because unless I explain why I am writing this blog no one will understand.

06/07/2006 Andys 25th Birthday.

I think I maintain healthy relationships with my ex's if by healthy you mean spending random weekends at their homes for sexual excursions, wanting to ignore responsibility and one anothers life obligations to just be unnecessary time with one another that leads to getting physical. I'm always riding that blurred line between friend and friend with benefits when it comes to the recycling ex's bin. So I called Andy this morning to wish him a Happy Birthday...below you will find the basics of the Conversation. (This is not verbatim)

**Ring, Ring**

Not Andy: Hello?
Not Andy:...Um..Hello?
Justin: Hello? Um, Is Andy there?
N.A.: Yeah, one second.
Andy: *Groggy* Yeah?
J: Hey, Happy Birthday, Thump. Who was that?
A:Who...Oh, hey J.
J: Hey, how was your night? Who was that?
A: *Awkward Silence* Um..that was a friend..I had a crazy long Crazy night with a few people oh uh, Thanks for calling.
J: Yeah...Thanks for the awkward silence..hehe *(FACED!)*
A: Hehe
J: Well, I was wondering if Maybe you weren't doing anything you could stop by so I can give you your present?
*Guys Muttering in the background*

J: This seems like a bad time I'll talk to you later.
A: No, its okay. Just give me one second.
*Phone rings at work and I suddenly don't feel like answering it*

A: Hey, look. You have that voice...That Justin voice.
J: I have no other voice, it's my only one.
A: The Justin Passive Aggressive voice; It's not what you think.
J: I Don't.
A: Don't what?
J: Don't think, I just am. (I kinda do this philosophical thing when backed into an emotional corner)
A: *Does that thing where I can tell he's smiling on the other end of the phone...I kinda lose it*
J: You know I'm stupid right? That I make horrible decisions. It's kinda my Modus Operandi..
A: Justin...
J: So, did you guys...are you...You keep your phone charger beside your bed and plug it in before you go to bed. Did you move your phone charger last night?
A: *Understanding the question I'm actually asking and the possible consiquences ramifications of answering the question* No..
J:No?
A: No, I Left it plugged up beside my bed.

I can't white out my feelings or scratch out the time he and I shared. It's not that easy. I can write them down and pinpoint the places where we may have taken a wrong turn and correct the error but I don't know if I would of what difference it would make if any. If our relationship were on paper it would be torn and shredded only to be taped together again. It would be laden with red felt tip pen marks and circled events that meant MEAN something. All of this or a good 90% would have been made by me. Maybe if I weren't so obsessed with finding flaws in my life I'd be able to keep them things from being broken.

Right now as I type this there are two things that run through my mind...well two events.

1) My senior year at Gaithersburg Highschool I did a monologue from Macbeth for my Drama class. The teacher said I did exceptionally well that I really FELT the character; looking back I think it was the one part I felt the most

"Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing."

2) Joni Mitchell - I Could Drink A Case Of You. / Kinda a tear jerker.

"I remember that time you told me,
You said, Love is touching Souls
Surely you've touched mine.."

Me So Emo!!

Show Boxing, aka, "I have a defense mechanism?"

Some people don't, but I strongly believe that in life each of us is tested. There are trials placed before every person to test their will, perseverance, beliefs, courage, etc. etc. I feel most times that all of these things apply to me simply because I make up a percentage of the populous (also because it's MY belief). Given my strong convictions and moral standards you would think that I'm sailing down the Good ship lollipop with nothing but courage and constant optimism on my side; in most cases I would say "Sure", but when it comes to the possibility that my character or person is in jeopardy of being judged or rejected...my confidence goes down faster then the office whore at a holiday party.

My therapist would say, "Justin, you're insecurity stems from your lack of foundation as a kid. You were always searching for reassurance of yourself and confirmation of self worth. But you have to find confidence in yourself before other people can believe in you" and then I'd pretend to be extremely offended and say something like "YOU DON'T KNOW ME!!" and laugh so she knows that I was making a joke. She'd snicker a bit and we'd completely overlook my humorous defense mechanism.

For someone that has such an extreme fear of failure I find that there's one area in particular that I just don't seem to succeed at; that would be the Successful relationship. Because I'm jaded and cynical I would say that a successful relationship is an oxymoron (hehe...oxymoron) but I've seen them. They are scarce and about as rare as the gentle wood thrush cockatoo from the island of Newguenee; a creature which I invented...just now...in my head. So being the over analytical person that I am I came up with a small list of areas in which my relationships failed, not because it's productive but because I'm an emotional masochist and nothing says "Ouch that hurts...soooo good" like staring into the onyx abyss of personal doubt and insecurities that led to the systematic disintegration of each relationship. Rather than boring you with the details lets just say that it all ultimately led to the discovery of trust issues and not just trusting my boyfriends but trusting myself. Trusting my judgment about when to be strong and stand my ground or when to fold and say "You're right" or "I'm sorry". Trusting my feelings regarding work, finance, family, or even buying clothes is Cake; but trusting them when it comes to my heart is another story entirely. Not to name, names (Because that's tasteless) but it's hard to know that you have feelings for a guy and feel stunted because you're afraid they'll reject you. So I've decided not to do that anymore.

In closing, I have a statement that I would like to read on behalf of the guilty party in question.

"Hello, I am Justin's 'Crippling fear of Rejection' I am formally resigning and leaving my post; I will not be giving two weeks notice, my resignation is affective immediately. All matters of the heart (or otherwise) will be left in the competent hands of Justin's 'Hubertus Overweening Pride (CEO)' and his associate Justin's 'Guilt Free Feeling of Self worth' who will be in charge of production and distribution of 'Dopamine' to the cardiovascular system. For all parties who feel that while under my leadership the institute has been led astray I am sorry, but please know that, in the words of John Lennon (I'm Guessing) "The Revolution is Here"

No Martha, It's not a, "Good Thing"

Lucifer Martha Stewart makes money, lots and lots of money. The most amazing part about this situation is that she makes almost all of it doing absolutely nothing. Example you ask? Well, upon channel surfing I came upon 'Martha Stewart Living' and this was at the very end. If you didn't know Martha Stewart ends each segmant with a 'Good Thing'. Since the days show was about preparing food and making pasta dishes she decides to dish out her own brand of Zen wisdom... She teaches the audience how to boil pasta.

Now...Im no mental athelete by any means but, I know how to boil pasta; could it be that many house wives and people sitting at home right now don't know how to properly boil pasta? WHY?! Why is everything dumbed down for dumb people? I am MOST astonished by Martha getting away with that shit, AND to top it all off the bitch was talking like she was on qualudes! I thought she was going to pass out or something. Could it be that Martha picked up a nasty heroin addiction while in prison? I always pictured her as a Jail Bait version of Maria from 'The Sound of Music' challenging those young minds to sing and plant flowers instead of stabbing people and funneling drugs into the correctional facility. But no.

In closing, with all my heart and soul I sincerely hope that someone cancels that show, she shouldn't be able to make more money off of criminal acts, and making money for doing nothing is DEFINATELY criminal. So come on, FIRE MARTHA, its a good thing.

"Yes Virginia, that is a 20 minute long rape scene." and other dangers of letting a child watch, "I Spit On Your Grave"

I struggled with the Idea for my first official blog, whether it should be a, "Getting to Know You" blog, or an informative blog displaying my strong moral compass and assertive convictions; in the end I decided to let my friend (V) pick it for me...ironically.

Let me begin by saying like most kids of the 90's I group up in a three parent household. I had a Mother, a Father, and possibly the most influential role model, a Television. We did so much together; my Mother and I used to spend hours with Television (hehe Uncle TV for short) watching thought provoking cinema like, "Zapped Again", "Def By Temptation", and "The Highlander". While my father and I played games of our own, one imperticular where I tried to hug him and he would pretended to reject my affection, El Oh El Father...El Oh El. I found that from these experiences I developed not only the fundamental building blocks for becoming a social scholar it also nurtured a love for horror movies. From Upscale, "Silence of the Lambs" to low budget semi-porn "Mirror Mirror" even B-movie classics like, "Prom Night 2: Hello MaryLou" I was wet for it all, but my mother being the paragon of maternal maturity never forced me to watch the vilest of the vile, the insidious of insidious, "I spit on your Grave". For those of you who are unaware of this monumental monstrosity let allow me to give you a brief description with photos...yay.

Meet Jennifer Hill a young aspiring writer who goes to the country for a scenic retreat.

Meet the local welcoming comittee! They sure are excited to rape welcome her.

Apparently welcoming a fine young woman to a mighty small town includes violating her every orrifice for about 20 minutes and then forcing a mentally handicapped man to do the same; It's all fun and games until there's too much fun and games.

Jennifer recovers from her rape by remembering who invented the telephone.

Needless to say (actually it's probably needed to explain the rest of the film) Jennifer decides to get a little bit of revenge on the men. I wont go into details; I refuse to degrade my delicate sensibilities. I will however show you a graphic photo of one of the bodies.

"Ouch...stairs"

It doesn't take a rocket scientist or even a horrible excuse for a neglectful parent (aka Britney Spears) to see that this isn't something you would want to expose your child to at a tender age. They have time ahead of them to form their own skewed and jaded view of the perverse world they will inevitably be forced to join. You certainly can't protect them forever but when you child goes to a therapist in 19 or so years and can't explain why he has violent rape fantasies and the idea of violating another human being pops his cherry, perhaps you should tag along and enlighten him on your own speculations/responsibility/BAD MOMMY regarding his deviant behaviour, don't forget to bring your very own platinum edition of, "I Spit On Your Grave" he will probably need it later that evening to Beat the Bishop to.

Dear thoughtless and possibly abusive, Mommy Dearest. That's...Unacceptable.
